Continuation of MDES 122. Reading of simple Arabic prose, practice in pronunciation, the grammar essential for reading comprehension and writing. Lecture, classroom drill, and laboratory practice. Prerequisite: MDES 122.
MDES 222: Arabic III
Continuation of MDES 152. Reading of selections from Arabic newspapers and current prose, continued study of grammar for reading comprehension. Lecture and classroom drill. Prerequisite: MDES 152.
MDES 252: Arabic IV
Reading of modern Arabic authors, review of grammar, composition, collateral reading. Prerequisite: MDES 222.
